As you all may have guessed, style is something that is VERY important to me. But what you might not know, this can also have a negative effect on me and play havoc with my anxiety. In this article I am going to tell you what I plan on doing for self help, how it is directly connected to clothes , and fill you in a little bit more on the truth behind doors.
The people closest to me know only too well how clothes and my style have a direct effect on my anxiety, and I am sure the rest of you are thinking, oh she is a bit more normal than I thought.
It’s a complex one, as I can walk past Dug in a cocktail dress , lashes on, at home, around the house and he does not even bat an eyelid at this stage, but if I feel I have underdressed, or got it ‘wrong ‘ for the event or social gathering I am at, I find it really hard to get out of the loop in my head, so much so that I have recently had to re visit CBT.
I wont bore you with this, but if you ever want to have a talk with me on the supject in VALE please do, I am an open book, and I think I am pretty much living proof that is anxiety is most definitely real .
SO what I want to share with you , is what actions I am going to take , CBT style, lets takes action and take back control . As I have come to realize this is my trigger , I am going to fully go through my wardrobe , try on outfits and whatever I feel, oh yes boom, love it , I wanna take a picture of this and show the world , I will keep, and I will know I have this outfit there to put on in a busy schedule and feel like me! anything else is straight to the charity shop.
I am going to share this journey of self help with you all , have fun with it and enjoy the process, with daily outfits, organising my wardrobe which I am hoping will aid in a more organised, calm mind .
I hope you enjoyed this read, now lets get healing (and organising of course)
All my love
Roisin, Vale x
