Privacy & Cookie Policy
Last updated 16 August 2026
This policy explains how Vale Beauty & Massage Boutique ("Vale", "we", "us") handles personal data and cookies on this website, valebeauty.ie. We're a small boutique based at Ballymanus, Aughrim, Co. Wicklow, Y14 E891, and we've kept our use of your data as minimal as the site allows.
Who we are
Vale Beauty & Massage Boutique, Ballymanus, Aughrim, Co. Wicklow, Y14 E891, Ireland. For any privacy query, email us at [email protected].
This is a static website
This site has no user accounts, no database, and no contact form that submits data to us. We don't run analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts of any kind — there's no Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or similar on this site. The phone number and email address shown on the site are revealed only when you click to reveal them; that's for spam protection, not data collection.
Cookies this site uses
We don't set any cookies of our own. A small number of cookies are set by third-party services embedded on the site, only when those services actually load:
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| __cflb, __cf_bm | Cloudflare | Security and bot-management, loaded as a dependency of our booking widget. Not used for tracking or advertising. |
| Booking session cookies | Ovatu / BookApp | Set only if you open the booking widget, to run the booking flow you've started. |
| Google Maps cookies | Set when the embedded map on our Contact section loads, per Google's own policies. |
You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser's settings. Doing so may stop the booking widget or map from working correctly.
Other third-party services
Our Instagram feed and Google reviews are fetched when we rebuild the site, not from your browser — visiting the site doesn't send any of your data to Instagram or Google for either of those features.
If you book an appointment or buy a gift card through our booking widget, that transaction is handled by Ovatu/BookApp, and the data you enter there (name, contact details, payment information) is processed under their own privacy policy, not ours.
Your rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you
- Ask us to correct or delete it
- Ask us to restrict or object to how it's used
- Request a copy of it in a portable format
- Lodge a complaint with Ireland's Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie
To exercise any of these, email us at [email protected]. As we don't hold any personal data ourselves outside of email correspondence you send us, most requests will simply be a case of us confirming that and deleting any relevant emails on request.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if what the site does changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
